Emmer wheat is used along with Einkorn and Spelt, like it used to be in the late middle ages in Europe. We are using this precious, uncrossed grain for your drinking pleasure. This beer naturally contains a lot of protein, vitamins and minerals. This is the reason for leaving it unfiltered. The beer is only brewed for the historic festival of the city Riedenburg. 500 ml flip-top bottle, as a 5.1 ° ABV. Poured a hazy, unfiltered, red-brown coloured ale with a good one finger beige creamy foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Mid sized carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is moderate grainy malts, earthy cereals, notes of cocoa powder. The flavour is caramel malts, bready, a few molasses, dried fruits, nuts, some roasted notes. The mouthfeel is creamy, a bit sweety and very smooth. This medium bodied ale has a dry caramel malty finsih. A nice and quite interesting ale.

Dark amber/copper coloured with mediumsized creamy head. Aroma is fruits, fudge, grass and some sweet hints. Flavour is fruits (bananas and citrus), as well as some wheaty and slightly caramelly hints. A quite different beer, but still refreshing.
