Ribstone Creek’s new Old Man Winter Ale has a notable chocolate character alongside some roastiness and caramel sweetness. The aroma is fruity and roasty. The beer is well bodied and starts sweet, malty and chocolatey then finishes a little drier and roasty. It is 6.6% abv and has a color of 21 SRM, which is dark brown, bordering on black. Ribstone Creek wanted to have something special to mark the holiday season. Keeping with the spirit of Christmas, this beer is dark and rich, something that fits well with the cold nights and traditional meals and desserts of the season.
