Franz is our Oktoberfest beer. He’s an autumnal brew, a bit of a dreamer, often hikes in the Alps and comes back with great ideas for delicious malts and is forever hoisting barrels over his head for ’ze exercize’. Franz is our Oktoberfest brau, and our first take on a German brew. Not traditional, but über German. These malts will PUMP you UP, jaaah!

pours a hazy orange/amber color with about an small off-white head. Head retention is good, and there's a decent amount of lacing. The aroma is bready/grainy malt, herbal hops, caramel, and some apples. The taste was similar to the aroma, but with the bready/grainy malt and herbal hop flavors being the strongest. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
