I figured that this would be the best oktoberfest brew of all time, becuase red hook can make some damn fine beer. I overestimated, but it still kicked some ass. It wasn't the best of all time, but it was up there. In one word, this beer is robust.

Pours with an amber body topped by a thin off-white head with some lacing. Slighlty sweet malty aroma with a touch of graininess and some hoppiness. Well balanced flavor leaning towards hoppy with a slight bitterness. Light to medium bodied and smooth.

Sad to say, only had 2 bottles to sample, caramel, hops, malts all well balanced, quite mellow in fact, but still nice and satisfying. Great color, nice beige head and generous lace. Wish I would have gotten a case?
