A dark, intense and powerful ale. "The grandfather of stout". Chocolate and toffee notes, with a hint of plum pudding! Delicious.

The third of three beers brought back for me from Australia and the best of the bunch, although sadly that isn't saying much. It pours a colour similar to coca-cola with an equal amount of head. Sweet caramel malt comes through more than any roastiness. Flavour again is more sweet/earthy than a typical Euro-American porter.
