Dunkelroggen is fermented with a German hefeweizen strain which gives it the classic banana aroma and flavor. This ale is similar to our Roggenbier, but has a darker color and a more pronounced malt character. It has 35% Weyermann malted rye, which, combined with the German Tettnang hops, give it a refreshing, spicy finish. The amber color comes from Weyermann Vienna and dark Munich malt. ABV: 5.2%, IBU: 9, OG(plato): 12

had at the Gingerman, Houston ... Pours a murky dark yellow - tan colour ... has a soapy white head ... very clean beer... has a very german dunkel wheat smell.. not as good as the original but very nice stuff... would be a huge hit in germany!!
