We pay homage to the American novelist, Eleanor Porter, who introduced "Pollyanna" to the world way back in 1913. Eleanor is a full-bodied and layered robust porter brewed with Belgian caramel malts, American chocolate malts, German hops and English yeast. This beer is heavy on the rich, dark chocolates with lots of caramelized raisins and caramel, but perfectly balanced with a distinct coffee flavor and moderate hop bitterness.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

Opaque dark brown pour with a small, but quickly disappearing head. Some minimal, short lived lacing. Chocolate, coffee, roasted malt aromas, some earthy hop and a hint of malted milk balls. Tastes as it smells, chocolate, coffee and roasted malt share the stage equally. Hoppy bitterness on the finish. Full, but slightly thin mouthfeel. An easy drinker at almost 7% abv.
