A mildly hopped beer with a complex malt character, and a soft creamy head. Soft and fruity with light yeast esters of apricot and orange. It is a refreshing and crisp session beer, with just enough hops to balance and round out the sweetness of the malt

Nice pillowy head, thick and frothy, the body is a hazy yellow. Aromas of fruity yeasts, some graasy hops, and grains. The flavor starts with a dry grassy hp and fruity yeast combo with a slight sourness, the finish is dry and refreshing.Overall its a nice beer, kinda surprised it wasnt rated higher.

Pours a rather typical clear yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma is not strong, but is crisp and malty if not inspiring. Flavor, fortunately, is better - malty and a little fruity with a faint and not too unpleasant tinny undertone. Texture is smooth and just a little fizzy. Overall, fair to middlin' and leaning towards middlin'.

My third Pike sampling. So far, I've not been disappointed. This one is a yellow tinged orange colored beer. Small soapy textured white rises above. Doesn't stay around very long. The lacing is a very fine mist of oily film and a thin ringlet/cap. The nose is weak. Some citric aromas. The flavors follow with a slightly more robust mix of grassy and citric hops. Some sweet malt for a decent balance in a medium bodied creamy drink. Not bad.

brewer's description is pretty accurate here. not the most compelling style, but within it's class, it's one of the best i've had. a fresh summer session beer. great balance and refreshing.

A vigorous pour produces a frothy, three-finger thick, pale, off-white colored head in my 25cl tulip glass. The beer is a nice gold hue that shows an almost brilliantly clear, full gold color when held up to the light. The aroma has a sweet grain note to it up front, a touch of grassy grain, a solid cracker-like maltiness and a finish that has a touch of spicy hop character, though only just.
Fairly dry tasting, but there is a touch of grain sweetness here. Mostly the malt provides a grassy grain character with a touch of cracker like malt dryness. The beer finishes with a nice, though soft, biting hop bitterness that serves to further dry out the palate. This beer is pretty crisp, though not like a lager as there is a touch of fruity esters here that help to round things out and provide touches of pear. The hop character is much more evident than in the aroma, though it is about balanced with the malt character. The malt is more noticeable at the front of each sip while the finish is dominated by herbal, slightly pine-like hop flavors and bitterness. This has a nice soft heft to it, is eminently quaffable and has a nice textural offset between prickly carbonation and velvety malt.
This is a nicely made example of a Blond Ale; this isn't aggressive, but the flavor is well balanced and without flaws and it has just enough character to keep me interested. This would be a solid hot weather beer, and to be honest, I am enjoying this quite a bit more than I expected to.

Bottle: Pours a light gold with a decent white frothy cap that lasts and laces. Aromas of fruits and grass with some light maltiness. Bright citrus hops balance a soft biscuity malt discernment finishes mild with a faint hint of pear. Decent quaffing ale.

Hazy burnt orange, spotty patches of bubbles float on the top, this beer looks good. Citrusy hops, and a abundance of peppery spices dominate the smell, caramely malts are detectable but seem to get pushed to the back and aren’t as dominant as I would like them to be. Hoptastic flavor, grape fruit hops are abundant but not over powering, caramel tasting malts make up the body of this brew, it also has a candy like sweetness, clean finish with no after taste. Overall very drinkable and is a high quality brew.

Dark apricot in colour (crappy description!) and cloudy with a good ammount of small grainy sediment (not sure if that or the cloudiness should be there considering it wasn't in the other bottle that was opened). Poured a small ammount of white cap but produced decent ropy lacing. Aroma comes across very fruity with some grapefruit, oranges and an unknown pink candy. Good fresh hops. Taste is nothing new or different. Mild hops, sour tartness, mild malts and some heated spice that sneaks in near the end. Mouthfeel is a bit too light but solid bitterness, good carbonation and a tart smacking dry aftertaste help make it decent enough. Seemed a bit too gassy, but nothing that would make you explode. Decent beer that would be really good while sitting in the sun while avoiding yardwork.

Bit cloudy brass or bronze colored ale with minimal but lasting head and some lacing on the glass. Mild hops aroma, sweet and yeasty. Smelling of sweet dried fruits which are also present in the taste. Full mouthfeel for such a light and crispy, crunchy beer. Not one I'd seek out, but if a friend had 12 in the fridge, I'd surely drink half for him.
