Dry and floral, with the beautiful aroma of fresh hops and a sublime maltiness from gently roasted barley.

At the SeaTac airport (hence the price), but otherwise a very good IPA with the citrus, pine, hops well assembled in a nicely balanced proportion. Decent malt back for substance.

This seems to be more of an English style IPA as opposed to an American due to the hop to malts ratio. This beer is dominated by the sweet bread, toffee and caramel malt base, the citrus hops tend to hang back a bit, but still offer a decent bite. Overall its not my ideal of an IPA, but its still a nice beer.

Pours a nice clear amber, typical, but the off-white head is thick and frothy and sticks around for a while. Aroma is fairly hoppy, if not strongly so, with an undertone of grapefruit and sour orange. Flavor is hoppy and woody, slightly bitter, a little fruity - mainly orange and grapefruit, no sweetness. Lacing is fairly substantial. Texture is fairly smooth, lively and fizzy, leaving a fairly persistent tingle.

From Brewery Creek. Poured a cloudy orange body beneath a smallish ivory head. Aroma was less hopped than it should've been, although the taste was more the way I like an IPA, with the right amount of bitterness. Mouthfeel was okay, although it finished on a bland note.

A murky orange tinted amber colored ale. Small soapy textured white head rises above. Settles fairly quickly. The film is the highlight of the lacing. The ringlet is thin. Light citrus-pine hops in the nose as in the tasting. A good representation of an IPA, just does not carry the wow effect. The body is a plus, medium and creamy. Well carbonated.

a nice IPA and one of their better brews. citrusy and floral hop aroma and taste, but not overdone...not that i'd mind that...but this one is balanced nicely. not enough there to be a phenomenal beer, but a solid IPA by any standard.

This brew poured a orange-copper color with a medium sized foamy white head. Aroma is floral, wheat and grapefruit with just a hint of spice. Mouth feel is medium to full. The flavors are well blended with caramel, yeast, and grapefruit.

very easy to drink, but a tad light in the mouth .. not quite live @ wembley, an enjoyable brew .. pours with a nice head, and caramel colour.. lacks a hop pine aroma in mass .. a good sessionable ipa...

A solid pour into my 25cl tulip glass produces a three-finger thick, light tan colored head. The beer is an amber tinged, copper hue that shows an almost clear, copper color when held up to the light. The aroma is not overwhelmingly hoppy, but is hop dominated with notes of grapefruit, orange juice, tangerine zest and a touch of lychee. There is some malt character noticeable in the nose as well with a bit of sticky crystal malt, lightly toasted malt, a bit of biscuit character or perhaps more of a cracker like note of grain.
A bit thin somehow with a washed out citrus hop character, both of which have me wondering if it is my palate or the beer. There is a solid hop bitterness here that resides throughout the flavor profile. Lingering in the finish is both the hop bitterness as well as a thin, but sweet crystal malt character that just allows some citrus character to linger for a bit; really what ends up lingering in the long finish is a bit of herbal / menthol character and the hop bitterness. Somehow the citrus hop character, in combination with the crystal malt and body, just comes off as being thin and wan. Crystal malt character contributes a distracting flavor similar to sweet tea.
Not that great of an IPA, seems a bit washed out and, due to the lack of hop character, a bit too dominated by crystal malt flavors.

Fresh bottle from the shop down the road, pricey sixer so I settled for a single.....wise choice. Should state "Pike Pale Ale" as this is a distance from being an IPA. Great hazy orange/copper pour with some major sediment. 1/2" thick creamy head and legs of lacing. Aroma has some juicy floral hops along with a dense malt nose, I really like the scent but there's a minimal amount of hop bite in it, great for an APA. Medium body with a clean yet unsatisfying finish, a little thin at the end with a faint bitter hint. Nicely balanced with thick doughy malt and some citrus hops. A touch of fresh butter and greens. Good beer, it is very enjoyable, however this would score much better as an APA so I tried to keep my rating in the middle of the styles.
