Bomber from Haggen (Burlington, WA). Pour of clear copper, under a ring-producing ivory head. Nice aroma here, with ample grapefruit and lesser but still obvious amounts of pine resin. Slick mouthfeel. Good flavour, with quite enough citrus and pine. Bitter finish, with a trace of malt.

My first impression on tasting this beer was that it was like chewing on a pine needle (or maybe what I think it would taste like). A decently hopped DIPA, I wouldn't classify it as an award winner (although apparently it has), but it is good. Piney hops in the nose and palate, decent malt profile and it makes one good DIPA.

India Pelican Ale + more? Well that's just better. Pelican's IPA is one of my favorite beers, so this Imperial is just bonus. I like this Imperial better than the few others I have tried.

Orange gold color. Medium head. Aroma is floral and piney but needs to warm a bit to tell.. A medium bodied Imperial India Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are floral, piney, grapefruit and citrus. Very nicely balanced. Hides the 9.5% alcohol very well. Bitter yet the malt sweetness shines through. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.
