This winter wheat beer uses dark malting to provide subtle toasty notes. We then single-hop and dry-hop this beer with Citra hops from our friend Brad’s farm. Interesting pineapple notes from the Citra hop provide a stark contrast to the toasty notes in the body. An engaging and sessionable Winter Seasonal.

A reddish brown colored beer with a three fingered, sudsy textured, light brown head rising above. There's some hang time on that head. It settles into a thin ringlet. The nose is earthy. The tasting follows with grassy hops up front, some citric, though light. A backbone of caramel, toffee malt. Moderate bodied, effervescent.,. Easy to drink.

No way is this a dunkel...More like a pale ale, almost borderline IPA. Has some hops to it, yet not caramel malty as most dunkels. Still, a good beer, was just a little deceiving by looking at the style here. I actually thought it would be more like a spiced lager/ale.

Aroma is quite strong and rye-ish with a rosiny overtone and just a hint of citrus. It pours a dark coppery amber with a fairly thick buff-tan head that leaves a decent amount of lacing. Flavor has a strong rye core with hoppy and citrus tones and a whisper of caramel. Texture is quite smooth and somewhat fizzy, leaving behind a nice, if not too persistent, tingle.
