This Belgian strong ale is rich in history as well as flavour. Traditionally brewed by trappist monks far from the influence of the modern world, this complex ale starts with malty sweetness and finishes medium dry, with a touch of piety.

Lighter then expected brown body complete with light brown crown. Boozy perfume in the nose with a very sweet fake banana...... me no likey. Very sweet taste...... ungodly sweet. Fake banana, to much booze, thin malts, almost caramel. Way to much candy sugar. This is awefull crap, I’m so close to a drain poor. This whole beer is a fail.

Bomber. Dark brown pour, some cloudiness and a fluffy tan head. Subdued aroma, some malt, candy sugar, and yeast. Rich, thick mouthfeel. Even felt sweet but thankfully not too sweet to taste. Flavour had the sweetness, malt, hint of alcohol. 9.8% ABV yet no sense of overpowering alcohol yet you do know about it afterwards. Sweet finish. Nicely done.
