Had on draft @ Otto’s brewpub, in the NeW location, in State College,PA .. . pours a very deep amber .. great lacing .. sap and crushed pine, bark .. . a touch alcoholic, long bitter finish .. . a dangerous beer .. . . i call this beer Devon.

Double D pours a delicious looking amber bronze with a big fluffy white head with thick, blanketing lacing. Fruity hop aroma chock full of citrus and pine with a strong caramel and biscuit malt scent to back up the hops. Very adventurous for a strong hoppy beer as the malts are incredibly thick and help carry the heavy hops. Full bodied, bitter and soapy this one drinks real well. Sweet malts with lots of bread and caramel flavor along with a solid nuttiness. Wonderful fresh citrus hops and some mild mixed berry flavor as well.

This one poured an orange color with a rather large white head. The aroma contains quite a bit of pine and also some oranges and grapefruit. This one certainly has a good malt presence and the flavor consists of oranges, lemons, grapefruit, and more pine. A well balanced IIPA and not a typical hop bomb. A very good double IPA. I love me some DDs!!

IPAs aren't generally a favorite of mine but I have to admit that this wasn't bad. I didn't think it was one of Otto's best brews, but still enjoyable enough. The copper coloring was quite nice and the thick head was inviting. The taste was fair enough....not bitter as some IPAs can be.

I had this on tap at the brewery. A very good IPA with a lot of kick to it. Most of their beers are very drinkable. This one might be the best.

Hazy copper color with a small off white head and nice lacing. Nice big citrus hop aroma. Nice big piney, resiney, hop taste. Full and bitter, a beautiful double IPA. And with a wireless network at the brewery, this is cool to rate as I drink!
