Finally on tap at oso and I was actually there. Lou's review is spot on. I was actually surprised by the strength of the bitter finish, not bad at all, just unexpected. Wouldn't have guessed saison was the style.

Another gift from pfoxyjohn during OktoberPfist 2010. Clear golden pour with little head and some lacing. Sweet yeasty aroma with a slight apple vinegar and funk with some spices. Taste is zingy with a tart apple and very slight vinegar sour, some spices and a definite bite and bitter in the end. Interesting and satisfying brew. Tasty. Thanks John. Cool name too.

Imperial Saison? Interesting. These guys do not dissapoint. Pours a cloudy bright yellow colour with a medium size off white head. Bright fruits and wheat on the nose. Plenty of floral accents with noticeable spice on the palate. Flavors of white pepper, lemon and pineapple.

My first of the new offerings from O'So, and one that they currently do not bottle. Sampled on draught at the Malt House in Madison. I must say I was a little skeptical of this one, but it's great. Pours a rich hazy golden color with a thin white head that produces light lacing. The aroma is sweet and yeasty with solid malt and alcohol notes. Smooth, silky and full palate. Sweet, fruity malt flavors; rich and satiny. Some bitterness, spice, and warming alcohol in the finish. This drinks much more like a Belgian Strong Ale than a Saison; it's actually billed as an 'Imperial Saison'. Looking forward to more of their brews. MUSIC: ‘It's Oh So Quiet’ by Björk
