Crisp, malty aroma is typical of a lager, but doesn't scream "gluten-free." Pours a rather wan yellow with not much of a white head that quickly takes its leave. Flavor has a nice malty note and a hint of fruit, with a subtle hoppy undertone - not much going on here. Smooth texture lacks somewhat in both fizz and firmness. Still, a good effort. One of these days, someone will brew a truly good gluten-free beer.

A bright golden colored beer with a three finger fluffy textured, white head that rises briefly above. Settles into a moderate ringlet. Nose is mited. Tasting more pronounced. Basically sweet bready malt and grassy hops. Light and crisp. Refreshing.

Especially within the style, I enjoyed this one more than the pale. I assumed it would be the opposite, but for me, this tasted more like a classic lager than the pale did a pale. Crisp and clean. No off flavors or aroma from any wheat substitute. That said, still "just" a lager. But decent enough.

So this is a gluten-almost-free beer. As a regular lager, it is decent but, when compared to gluten-free beers, this is above average, mostly because it tastes very similar to said regular lagers. Nice carbonation and mouthfeel with a pleasantly tame aroma and taste.
