I remember drinking this back in the 1970's. I thought it was really good back then. I remember Clint Eastwood drank it. So I guess I thought if he drank it. It made me cool like him.

Mouthfeel akin to a Keystone light...otherwise your standard crappy american cheap lager. I must put in a disclaimer - I did not pay for this swill, it was given freely. Still sucked, though.

Pours a very pale yellow, with a soapy frothy head with very good retention and very limited lace. The aroma such as it was consisted of Carbonic acid. The taset was very mild malt, with a hint of hops. Still very seltzery. The mouthfeel was light bodied, lighly carbonated, and very watery.

Aluminium and sweat diluted in water. I am actually impressed by just how watery this beer is! I love the comments from americans here ($5 a 6 pack): its ten or more up here in Canada and still one of if not the cheapest on the shelf. Pair well with chips and french onion chip dip-that is not sarcastic I am serious. I had to give points for mouthfeel as it is quite smooth in that it tastes like water.

Oh lord this is horrible. Smells like B.O. and tastes even worse. Look out for this one. This swill will make you sorry you even thought about having a beer. Thin pour. Tincture of corn and aluminum taste. Finish is of urine.

Somewhat boring. I drank this when I was visiting my family west of the Mississippi (St. Louis to be exact), and this was in the grocery store. I remember getting a twelver of this and taking it to my grandparents house in the CWE, and opening one, yes one can of this. It was disgusting, and it was something that I can never drink again.

I didn't want anything great. The wife was away, and I wanted to slum it it with a twelve-pack of something horrible...Olympia fit the only two requirements I had: it only came in cans, and it didn't come in 6-ers. I am surprised I was able to put so many of these away. It must be the water, indeed...it must be the large percentage of water in the brew that makes this so indistinguishable and easily forgettable yet easy to drink in large quantities. A little sweet, but very watery.

Man, this is another in a ratrher long line of not really great - or even good - beers that I used to slip away from my pop and uncles during cookouts when I was a kid. It's not really good at all I later found out. Kinda bland with no real decent qualities to speak of.

Oly is not a bad beer for the price (about $5.00 for a 12 pack), but maybe its my imagination (or possibly poor memory) that this beer used to taste a lot different when it was still an independent brewery, before being bought by Pabst. I remember Oly being a good tasting, thirst quenching, full-bodied style of beer. The most recent incarnation though seems a little watered down, and lacking in taste from what it once was.

It pours yellow/gold with thin white head and little lace. Usual cheap aroma of grains, hops, and that nasty "smoke" smell created by adding oil while drilling through metals. Possibly a by-product that somehow found its way into the beer. The mouthfeel is smooth, average-bodied, although dissolving and becomes watery fast. Flavor of malts, hops, starch/sugars, and bland. Not too bad for the cost. Why is this still called Olympia? or why is not from WA?
