Oly is not a bad beer for the price (about $5.00 for a 12 pack), but maybe its my imagination (or possibly poor memory) that this beer used to taste a lot different when it was still an independent brewery, before being bought by Pabst. I remember Oly being a good tasting, thirst quenching, full-bodied style of beer. The most recent incarnation though seems a little watered down, and lacking in taste from what it once was.

Stag has a bad reputation like many of the other reviews have stated. In my neck of the woods Bud Light and Busch are currently the most popular and are generally drank by people who refuse to try anything else. In my personal opinion Stag is a decent tasting, affordable and enjoyable beer. It actually has a "real",not watered down beer taste as opposed to some other popular beers. Ironicallly many people in my region shun and insult Stag, however during the 1950's and early 1960's it was the most popular brand in the St. Louis region, even beating out the king of beers Budweiser.

Overall not a bad beer, Ive always been a fan of it. It's a brand that here locally has not always been readily available, but it may be making somewhat of a small comeback as some of the larger grocery store chains are begining to stock it. I drink it because it's cheap, and it doesnt taste like all the other "run of the mill" light lagers out there. It is a beer that needs to be drank very cold,it's taste dwindles as it warms, and it does leave a stong, somewhat "sticky" aftertaste.

I have loved it every time I have drank it. This is what an Irish stout is all about. This beer is very similiar to guiness, however it goes down smoother and has a much better aftertaste.
