Much better than I recall the Tartan ale being. Pours a dark brown with red around the edges. Aroma is sweet roasty coffee, and some hints of chocolate. Flavor starts with sweet caramel and coffee hints, then turns to strong and bitter roasty burnt dark chocolate. Mouthfeel is wonderfully full and smooth, carbonation is very low, but I rather like it like that. This one's worth trying at least once.
