Old Tomorrow Honey Ginger Shandy is an new easy-drinking new style of beer cocktail that delivers an invigorating ginger flavor for both satisfying and thirst-quenching enjoyment. The shandy was created in collaboration with Muskoka Springs, using its original 1873 recipe for Muskoka Dry Pale Ginger Ale, which is packed with botanical extracts. Old Tomorrow brewed its beer, blended it with the ginger ale and then added natural honey and lemon flavours. The result is a light and zesty ginger flavor that is truly refreshing.

The beer pours a translucent very pale straw colour with a generous bubbly white cap. The cap lasts several minutes, but provides no lacing. The aroma is dominated by ginger with light hints of cereal malts, honey, floral hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is light bodied with below average carbonation. The flavour is honey sweet, with cereal hints and ginger. No bitter finish. -

Pours a clean, light golden colour with an orange hue. Frothy whitish head, decent lasting with some foam. Big lemon citrus aromas that reminds me of lemon oils and lemon floor soaps. Very mild spiciness in the background. The taste is milder, with the malt from the beer showing, light lemon notes and more yeast in the finish than the ginger. Was wishing for more of a ginger spice attack to this. Easy-drinking, yes. Crisp, not so much.

473ml can from LCBO. Pours a fairly big foamy bubbly off-white head and has a clear golden appearance. Somewhat excessive carbonation. Decent lacing. Aromas of ginger almost immediately, reminds a bit of a ginger ale pop or something. Hints of honey as well. Flavours of honey, ginger and lemon. Also some hints of spices, a bit wheaty and grassy. Has a slight tangy and sour mouthfeel in the finish that lingers but nothing too offensive. Not bad but wouldn't another right after.
