I also had this beer as a taster at the hotel I was staying at in St. Louis, MO. I thought this was a decent beer from a local brewery. I would like a chance to try it again and other offerings. I will likely adjust this review with a full 12-oz beer.

A dark orange color with a white head. The aroma contains some peaches? and citrus with some perfume notes. The flavor is very mild with some citrus notes and some more sweet fruit like peaches and apricots. Very odd for an IPA but not bad. This is more like a blonde ale.

Aroma is quite hoppy with fruity and yeasty undertones. It pours a pretty clear amber with a decent pale gold head. Flavor is mainly hoppy, a little fruity - equal parts pomme and citrus - a little malty, very slightly bitter. Not as hoppy as other IPAs I have sampled, but all right. Smooth texture has average body and average fizz, leaving a subtle woody finish. Best beer in St. Louis? Maybe in 2008. Maybe this was not the best batch.

A pretty malty aroma for an ipa, smells a bit like citrus but mostly sweet malts. It's a fairly clear beer, slight haze, white foamy head. Mouthfeel is light and finishes slightly watery. Flavor is kind of bland actually, really light on the hops with too much malt for an ipa and not good balance. Don't think I'd go after this again with so many really good ipa's out there.

Bought in a BYO sixer @ Lukas Liquors in KC .. . Pours a deep tan, light head, medium lacing .. . quite a bit of malt, light resin- pretty low on the hops .. . please put that dead squirrel down .. . kinda disappointing actually .. . seriously, time to put down the squirrel and take a bath...

A really drinkable IPA that seems to push the aroma of hops to the front line and lets the malts do the talking in the back. Smelling this beer really seemed citrusy as all get out, with some floral notes like lavender and honey popping their head up. Flavor is a little sweet for my liking though, and does bring down the score. Some caramel malts, french bread... kinda candy-ish after awhile and the hops can’t stop the sweetness. A little unbalanced. Palate is smooth and creamy. Body is amber, clear with a really pillowy off-white head. Overall, a pretty nice IPA. Wouldn’t quite call it hop-forward, but the aroma is fantastic. -

Fairly middle of the road IPA. Pours cloudy amber/orange with a slight white head and decent lacing. Medium bodied and well-balanced, but still with the pronounced hoppiness that one would expect. Clean finish.

Sampled at GABF on 9/17/2010. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, floral hops. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral and citrusy. Light to medium bitterness. Good carbonation. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Slightly cloudy orange amber pour with a tight white head and very nice lacing left with every drink. Mellow grapefruit and pine hops in the nise with a nice offset of slightly bready malts. Taste is mellow as an IPA with the grapefruit and pine hops bitter lightly pronounced and mellowed with the malts. Nice and smooth if not underwhelming IPA.
