This Helles (Pale) Bock is less malty than a traditional bock, has a drier finish, and a bit of hop spiciness to round off this pale lager.

Sampled on 9/13/2010 at the brewery. This helles bock pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head, with nice lacing and good retention. The aroma is bread, caramel, and sweet. A medium to full bodied heller bock. The malts are caramel and bready with a hint orange. The hops are spicy and floral. Nice carbonation. Good mouthfeel, very feel without a lot of alcohol. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a touch of spiciness.
