Our Sangiovese Burgundy is inspired by the traditional Flemish Red Ales of Belgium. We brewed this beer with loads of Belgian and German Malts and added dark Belgian candi sugar in the boil to add notes of caramelized fruit and molasses. After barrel aging, we refermented with heaps of red currants from Poland. The red currants intensify the wine-like notes of this strong ale, contributing fruity notes reminiscent of raspberry, gooseberry, and cranberry

Pours translucent mahogany with a nice buff head. Aroma features woody, toasty malt and red wine tones. Flavor delivers red wine, toasty malt, sharp dry notes. Texture offers decent body and lively fizz. Run counter to the currant culture.
