I tried this beer on October 3, 2008 at “Smokeless Joe’s” in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent very pale gold, with almost no head at all. The aroma was all grainy malt with a hint of hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was very grassy…all malt, very little hops. Boring beer, nothing awful, nothing great.

Another pale thin bland extract brewed commie welfare lager that the government liquor monopoly seems enamoured with for the profit margin it brings when sold at export prices. Leave it on the shelf, there’s so much better beer.

Bottle: Poured a bright golden color lager with a good size foamy pure white head with minimal retention and light lacing. Aroma of light adjunct with some sweet notes. Taste is also dominated by adjunct with some sweetness in the aftertaste. Nothing that I will be seeking again but I have seen a lot worse for the style.

Had this back in October with my good friend cyrenaica, and neither one of us thought all that much of it. Sometimes I can't help but think that some of these Eastern European swills could come in smaller bottles because it takes an iron stomach to handle 500ml of any swill.

Not the worst Russia has to offer, but far, far from the best. This beer is served up in a clear bottle, so you'd think it was going to be skunked from the start but suprisingly it wasn't. An aroma of corn and rancid malts. What comes next was a total suprise. It tasted like frosted corn flakes and beer. I mean, really really sweet. At least it has a bit more "flavor" than regular American swill, but if you are looking for the lesser of two evils...this one at least was drinkable.
