This was my favorite beer to drink when in Korea, but I don't recommend it unless there is nothing other than South Korean beers to drink. Better than Cass and Hite.

It's like Bud Light. Only sold in my local Korean grocery store. The people who run the store are super-nice, so I always buy a beer from their selection. They only carry Korean beers, and amazingly, our local liquor shop - which boasts the biggest beer selection in the entire state - carries NONE of these beers. Korean beers, all of them, are nothing to rave about, but they are comparable to the American lagers they are trying to emulate. So this OB, which has a beer label that looks just like the current 2012 Bud Light label (it's different from what's in the photo here on beerpal) tastes a little better to me than Bud Light. That's not saying much in the way of taste. But with this beer, I'm partaking in friendly relations with some very nice Korean folk, and I happen to be deep into Korean TV drama shows, so back off! If you are stuck choosing between different Korean beers, OB is honestly the best one to choose. I like how the beerpal photo shows the OB lager in a nice fluted glass. It's almost like it's real beer! I rate this a 3 all the way. So you know, I'll drink anything if alcohol is in it. Hobo Alliance For The World!

This is pretty average stuff right down the line. This had a faint grassy aroma when first opened. It poured a pale golden color in the glass with a small head, which disappeared pretty quickly. The taste was rather smooth and very similar to most domestic beers in the states.

Well, this is not as bad as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it was crap, but a noble effort none-the-less. For a 3rd world pale lager, this was not bad; even had a bit of hoppiness to it.

This beer is NOT worth the money. It is OK, but nothing more.

A friend gave me one of these beers. Nothing special, I guess it's kind of the Korean Buttwiper.

Poured a clear cloudy golden color with a weak white head. Metallic, slightly skunky, maybe a moldy banana aroma as well. Drinkable, I have had worse.

I drank this beer way to much during my stay in Korea. The average OB was very good especially during the hot Korean summers. Every once and a while you'd get a skunked OB that would turn you stomach on the dime. But over all it has a good favor and it gets the job done for a reasonable price.

This beer is an interesting attempt at breaking the mold that most domestic Korean beers fit into (US knockoffs). It is, rather, an attempt at a more northern European style, and is a good overall beer when compared in its market.

when it's the only beer avavilable..it works. if south korea had served this beer cold, it would've tasted much better.
