American Pale Ale with Citrus - OG: 13 Plato, IBU: 35, ABV: 5.5% Citrafonix begins with a deep citrus zest and piney hop nose. It is a light bodied American Pale ale with a balanced bitterness and a mildly tangy finish. We used a mélange of citrus including, orange Peel, lemon peel, lime peel, grapefruit zest, and a splash of grapefruit juice in both the kettle and the fermenter to give a citrusy fruit character that perfectly compliments the American hops. A summer day thirst quencher for sure!

    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is a bit subdued - sweet caramel malt with fruity hops.

The flavor is sweet sugary fruit with bready malt and some spicy bitter hops (slightly harsh) and maybe some rye. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, I remember liking this more on tap. The fruit is a bit subdued and the hop flavors are rather harsh.
