True traditional lager, minimum of 72 days in creation before it leaves our lager cellars. Medium well on the scale of golden color, creamy head that stays on for a while when poured properly - meaning right into the corner between the glass wall and bottom. Hoppy and malty aroma with a hint of sweetness leaves a pleasant aftertaste - watch out, this flavor is highly addictive! Recommended serving temperature 54-56 °F.

1 liter plastic bottle which is bottled in Lithuania. Quite dark golden color with not so big head. Aroma is bit weak but good and hoppy. Taste is strongly metallic and reminds me of fish gone bad. Aftertaste is OK though.

Purchased a 6-pack of these when I went to the Orleans Beer Store, and you can walk-in and see what they have in the cooler. Never saw these before. At first, I thought it was a joke (as "Brou" is totally French and this is a Czech brew). Anyways, pour a golden colour with an off-white head, average retention and decent lace. Some nice grainy malts with some fresh mild hops for aromas. Best before date written across front label: 17/12/2011. Kind of a dry mouthfeel from the hop. The metallic rusty taste from the hops is not pleasant though. I did not come across this when sampled from the bottle. The hop does become better in the aftertaste. Not something I would seek again.

Straw yellow colour, decent sized white head. moderately malty flavors with a tiny bitterness in the finish. for the most part, lot of grain in flavor and a little watery.

A nice beer. Aroma is nothing to talk about, but it pours nice and has a nice flavor. A very smooth beer that goes down nice. Recommended if you can find it but its rare.

typical light golden clear lager, wit a bubbly/frothy pure white head.Livelly carbonation. The aroma is very faint, but when it does appear its really typical marco lager aroma we find in many American examples. Very plain and boring taste , very weak and watery, very little maltiness and very sad hops. Very thin and below average even for a lager on the palate. I could drink tis, but water would be preferrable. I felt let down by tis one as TJs seem to have replaced Starobrno ( a MUCH better pils) with this stuff..will not buy again.

Bought a sixer of this at my local Trader Joe's for a very nice price. The pour was very full golden color, pleny of carbonation and a two-finger head that dissapated very quickly. The aroma was that of grains, grains and more grains. A very drinkable beer with a slight almost hidden smokey quality to it. Not bad for the price. Just a nice average lager, but compared to other Czech lagers it does pale in comparison.

Maybe it's the fact that I drank two completely disappointing lagers (i.e. a nasty Brazilian Pils, and a funked-up Samuel Smith Pure Lager) before this, but I have to think that this isn't all that bad, to be honest. Decent enough in the pour, lively enough on the tongue, with enough character to at least take notice of it's passage. Not very complex (especially for a Czech beer), and not too clever: "BrouCzech"... I don't suppose that translates out to "Czech Beer", does it...?
Kinda like a beer version of a big dumb Labrador Retriever. No frills, but solid enough to get the job done without much to-do. Decent value for the price it runs for these days, too.

Full bodied, yet very drinkable. Hoppy and malty aroma with a hint of sweetness leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Slightly creamy head that stays on for a while.
