A unique blend of hops makes for a slightly more pronounced hop flavor and aroma.

Finally got around to tasting this again on a trip west I stopped at the riverfront tavern in Sault St. Marie...last time I had it Dorans ran the brewery. It was aparently named and brewed to commemorate the centennial of the sault locks in 1955....it still retains a hint of the character of the brews of those days that were sold by the tray full in "soo" locks River street taverns and Algoma mining town taverns. This is a rough neck lager meant to be swilled by the pitcher full to be sure. Weak straw color but nice malt and grassy hop smells..small white head that laces quickly. Starts crisp and tart builds to a medium malty hop balanced body then the finish is smooth with a lingering malty sweetness....nothing fancy here just a standard Canadian commercial lager the way they were brewed in the 50s and 60s.
