North Peak Darkangel is robust and dry with a finishing touch of tart cherry. The roast barley quickly gives way to the subtle chocolate malt and rich Crystal 30.Chinook and Centennial hops put forth a sharp clean bitterness that is followed by a medium malt body balanced with Challenger hops, ending with a smooth dry, tart finish and strong Galena nose. It is brewed in Traverse City, MI, on Old Mission Peninsula incorporating locally grown hops. Beer Style: Porter

Love the stubby bottles, and North Peak is putting out some delicious brews to fill them up. First off the cherry plays a very subdued role in this dry and surprisingly robust porter. Burnt toast, toffee, and mild chocolate are all in the forefront while you get a hint of tart cherry initially and more so in the aftertaste. A nice balance with some noticed bitterness and grassy floral hops to keep things interesting.
