I tried this beer on May 13, 2011 at "Smokeless Joe" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a solid brown colour with a 1/2" tan coloured head. The aroma was sweet malt, tomatoes (I swear), nutmeg, and cinnamon. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was slightly sweet, tomatoey, with cinnamon and nutmeg, and a weak bitter finish. -

Import from the LCBO and comes in a 600ml brown bottle. Pours a copper-red colour with a frothy beige head, decent retention and lacing. Very nice spicy aromas, with mostly cinnamon (maybe light nutmeg and ginger) and some light dark fruit notes in the back. Smooth mouthfeel that goes down well, with no burning alcohol. Roasted malt flavours with some more dark fruits (raisins, plum, fig) and the spices not as much felt in the taste. Just a great spiced beer to warm you up in winter time.

600ml bottle: poured a deep brown/ruby brew in the glass small off white head does not last but laces lightly. Medium carbonation. Aroma is spicy-sweet..cinnamon predominates with earthy notes. Flavor is a surprise...not sweet but malty-toasty-roasty with a fig-demerara under tone, big spice and hop complimentary amalgam, bit of complexity from Belgian yeast....long drying roasty finish. Very nice seasonal spiced ale.

600 ml bottle, as Nørrebros Julebryg, now available in Norway at Vinmonopolet (bestillingsutvalget). ABV is 7.0%. Cloudy brown colour, big beige head. Nice aroma of Christmas spices, some caramel and malts. The flavour is far less sweet than the aroma made me expect, fairly dry and "dusty" with some slightly sourish notes. Moderate notes of Christmas spices, but they feel kind of "out of place" without any real malty backbone. The hops are also very moderate. The mouthfeel is fairly thin. The beer is drinkable of course, but this is not Nørrebro’s best beer.
