To enhance the flavor of our Sunturnbrew, we aged it in bourbon barrels for a year. We think it was a good year!

Cola brown with a creamy long lived cap floating on top. Wacky, wacky aroma. Heavy peat, notable alcohol, and just like the regular it has a noticeable medical element in the nose. Mmmmmm..... smoked Robitussin. Seems to be an underlining sourness here. Tar, smoke, sweetness, alcohol, other weird stuff. No beer taste like the Sunturnbrew! is it good??? maybe, is it completely bat shit waked out different? Yes.

250 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 11%, 50 IBU. Very dark brown cloudy colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Intense and complex aroma, bourbon, oak and vanilla, but also smoke, bonfires, salt water, old rope, tar, coffee and liquorice. The flavour is salty and distinctly smokey, with notes of liquorice and roasted malts. Medium sweet, the bourbon and vanilla notes from the barrel blend in nicely.
