With such a low alcohol content, EL HEFE is a true session. Brewed as a summer quaffer, dominated by its distinctive Hefe yeast, EL HEFE comes off slightly estery with hints of banana and cloves with a peppery finish. EL HEFE is the boss of summer beers.

On tap at Arrow and Loon. Pours a huge frothy white head that dissipates to a thin coating and has a yellow straw coloured appearance. Thick sticky lacing. Aromas are somewhat perfumy, floral hops. Flavours are sort of sour like, some lemon notes and strong bitter citrus hops. Also some yeasty notes. Has an astringent and puckering sensation on the palate. Missing a little something in this one, just not quite sure what.

Sampled at the Arrow & Loon. Pours a hazy light yellow colour with a soapy white head and decent lacing. Nice spices in the aromas with mild wheat. Citrus taste with a little grain and a short aftertaste. Gets better with food. A nice bite in the finish with a dryer mouthfeel. Interesting brew, but not sure for the style.
