Bottle courtesy of thewolf: Poured a clear dark brown/burgundy color ale with an average size foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of smoky malt with some sweet notes is definitely weird and not what I was expecting. Taste is also dominated by weird smoky notes with some typical Belgian malt notes which didn’t mix very well with the smoke. Medium body with some average carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Weird experiment that I wouldn’t necessarily want to try again.

Hazy dark brown with a large creamy beige foam. Yeasty aroma of raisin, caramel, earth and milky chocolate. Sweet malty and yeasty flavour of fudge, raisin, figs, milky chocolate and licorice. Medium to full-bodied. Long malty warming finish with touches of sweet coffee, fudge, figs, yeast and alcohol.

Draught@SBWF2007. Really hazy brown colour with big beige creamy head. Aroma is yeast, alcohol, malts and some slight hay and fruits. Flavour is quite much the same with caramel malts and alcohol being the strongest along with the yeast.
