Das " Michala " ist ein dunkles, vollmundiges Kellerbier. Es ist naturbelassen und unfiltriert. Im Gegensatz zu vielen seiner " Artgenossen " ist es nicht so malzig und damit nicht so süss. Das Kellerbier wird ganzjährig gebraut. Das dunkle " Michala " ist meinem Opa, Ludwig Hofmann aus Niedermirsberg, gewidmet, der als Gastwirt weit über die Grenzen Frankens bekannt war und ist.

Swing-top bottle. Poured an unfiltered deep amber colored beer with a two fingers beige creamy foamy head that had a good retention. Mid-sized carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is toasted malts, herbal hops and ripe dark fruits, raisins. The flavour is sweet toasted malts, herbal hops. The balance maltiness / bitterness is a real success. The mouthfeel is slight crispy and very smooth. This medium bodied beer has a long toasted malty finish. A solid Kellerbier from the youngest brewpub in Upper Franconia.
