A waitress brought me this after giving my 'Blue' to somebody else and this was the remaining beer on the tray. It was not what I expected. It was a coppery colour that had a mild grainy aroma. It also tasted grainy. I will be trying this again soon and maube my tune will change.

Beer poured dark brownish copper color with minimal head and lacing. The aroma was like burnt caramel. The flavor was really malty sweet biscuitness (is that a word?) with very little hopping to balance. The mouthfeel was oily and not pleasant...undercarbonated and cloying. Wasn't great.

Murky amber in color - seemed almost muddy with a short tightly-packed head. Fruity, hoppy aroma - also caught a persistent spearmint scent. Mouthfeel had a chalky characteristic to it. Flavor started out with well rounded, bready malt and a nice hop balance. A raisin note is added as the beer finishes and leaves an aftertaste of a nice raisin toast.

Red-brown, good head. The lacing doesnt last though. Aroma of slightl sweet malts. Nice flavour, very oaky and malty, with a kicking bitter finish. Light to medium bodied, goes down smoothly. Enjoyable, and goes down rather quickly.

i don't know what they where striving for here, but this beer is not good. ever since moosehead took them over and they've all been re-packaged and re-labled, the quality has suffered.

A very nice looking pour with a reddish brown color and a tightly bubbled white head. Carmel sweet flavor with a nice aroma. It’s a nice brew.

Now that the Moosehead-run NF Brewey has Deleted Olde Jack ale and Reconfigured their Pale ale as a Conner's clone I thought I'd give Griststone a whirl. Pours a red-copper with a decent cap, good lacing. light carbonation. Musty sweet malt aroma with citrus hop notes. Mouth feel is slick with the sweet biscuit malts dominating...a bit of smokey burnt treacle then a rather fast finish that becomes citrusy and bitter. A good sturdy micro ale with its own character

Thanks for this one, pintbypint. Light brown color with just very thin traces of a head. The aroma is cherries and oak. The mouthfeel is thin with plenty of carbonation. The taste is wood and cherries with some slight vanilla character. This is interesting, but nothing extraordinary.

One of the many excellent slightly adventurous beers from the Niagara Falls brewing company. This one had an amber to red to slightly dark color, was light in body and malty in flavor. Tasted slightly like a malty version of a red, but better.
