Sunshine Wheat is a great beer for trouncing thirst. Yet, it has a depth of character that inspires a quiet moment’s reflection. Sunshine Wheat swirls in the mouth with ripples of coriander and orange peel tartness, settling nicely into a tranquil sea of apple and honey tones. A filtered wheat beer, Sunshine offers a crisp, refreshing alternative to heavier-bodied heffe-weizens. Recommended food pairings with Sunshine include; mussels steamed in Sunshine Wheat, Thai coconut green curry, and spicy chili rellenos (or anything else with cilantro for that matter). Unlike German Wheat Beers, Sunshine Wheat needs no lemon wedge to bring out its citrus bouquet. If anything, a fresh orange slice buddies up well to the coriander and orange peel within. Fruit kabob or not, be sure to pour Sunshine Wheat into a clear glass that exposes its silky pale golden color which seems to beckon, “forget the half-finished lawn, kill the mower and come hither overworked one.”

Bright, light sunshine in color. Big fluffy textured white head rising above. It settles into a medium sized ringlet. Strong wheat nose. Wheat and citrus in the tasting. Smooth on the tongue. Refreshing and a great meal accompaniment

Not generally a fan of this style, but this one makes the cut. Could use a little more body and flavor...but maintains that light summery feel. Smooth and crisp mouthfeel. Flavor of wheat, coriander, citrus, and some other light fruits. I hadn't read the reviews, and coincidentally paired with a spicy Thai green bean coconut soup.

Cloudy orange-yellow pour with a medium head and some lacing. Wet sweet wheat and malts in the aromas with a dash of orange peel and black pepper. taste is refreshing and light with a sweet malty, wheat base and citrus fruit -orange - refreshment. Nice thirst quencher and easy to drink.

It met my expectations and not much more. The requisite cloudiness was present as was the citrus/banana aromas and flavors. It was a good drink, but failed to wow me.

A strong wheat and citrus aroma for the less hopsy taste. Pours a very transparent gold, with a medium-small head. The flavor is remarkable. At first mildly hopsy, with a refreshing citrus after taste that quenches thirst better than nost other beers. Very satisfying.

Did a couple beer trades at Summer Camp this past weekend. This was one I scored. Poured a very attractive bright cloudy golden colour with a full white head. Aroma was very pleasent. Bananna and plenty of pineapple and tropical fruits on the nose. Taste was generously wheaty with some soft yeasty notes near the finish. Full creamy and well carbonated mouthfeel.

Finished the 5th beer I got from NB, Celts are starting the 3rd quarter and it was still neck and neck. Man, they look old and tired. Nothing old or tired about this beer. I usually don't like American wheat beers, this had all the things I enjoy in a nice wit and made it into an American wheat. The aroma was sweet malts, cloves, light citrus to brighten it a bit but little else. Flavors had some serious citrus going on, musky (old grains?), zesty with a strange powdered like finish. Lot's of carbonation to the beer. Better than 95% of most American wheat beers.

thinner than some others (especially when compared to the Belgian brewers), but it stands up flavor-wise against the better ones. worth trying, but not going out of you're way for unless you're a huge wit fan.

Just found this at the local Hy-Vee for the first time in the area. Pours a golden yellow with a light white head. Smell of wheat and citrus. Goes down pretty easy. Enjoyable beer!

my favorite thing about this was the aroma, after pouring it I was reminded of fruit loops cereal, which i used to love. However that was the highlight, Average yellow body with thin head, except for a very slight citrus taste it was bland and watery. i will give this another shot in a few weeks because N.B. is a good company and deserves another try.
