Welcome fall weather! This one pours a bubbly orangy amber - almost pumpkin! - with a fluffy and rather fine-bubbled pale buff head. Malty aroma has a strong, but not overpowering, pumpkin note and hints of cinnamon, yeast, nutmeg and, yes, cranberry. Flavor fills the mouth with pumpkin, cranberry, nutmeg, cinnamon, hints of yeast and malt - and is that lemongrass? Each sip seems a little different. Smooth texture has plenty of fizz and a fair amount of viscosity; it leaves a nice pumpkin-pie finish. If you like pumpkin beers, you should get a kick out of this one.

Big thanks to the neighbors for a surprise Halloween BOOze that included a few of these. Very nice pumpkin beer. Not my favorite style overall but a great beer once a year. This was more on the pumpkin-pie in a bottle side of the spectrum as opposed to the subtle gourd presence. Highly spiced.

Pours out a 14k gold color with fast vanishing head. The aroma is heavy yeast and spice. The mouthfeel is smooth but only average. The taste is a very well balanced pumpkin ale.

An orange colored beer with a big frothy textured, orange-white head rising above. There's decent hang time on this head. A thin ringlet is left. Light nose. This one is more pumpkin than spice which worked fine for the beer-pumpkin ice cream float I made with the second bottle. Moderate bodied and effervescent.

Copper color with a white head. Tons of pumpkin and spice in the nose. Flavor is rather malty with cinnamon and brown sugar. Aftertaste is a bit sweet. Overall nice beer.

12oz bottle - To say I'm disappointed in this beer would be pretty accurate. I'm always down for a new spiced/pumpkin beer for Fall, but this one seemed pedestrian. Aroma is kept under tight wraps with light cinnamon/nutmeg/clove combo. Flavors of clove, allspice, some light cranberry essence with a thin palate and slightly astringent. Almost overly-attenuated to the point where I'm looking for just a hint of sweetness to help support the spices used. It finishes crisp, but falls short of being something truly outstanding. Another beer that falls flat from New Belgium.

The beer pours slightly hazy amber body with a thin, off-white head. The aromas of pumpkin and cranberry are present. I also get some mild earthiness and along with the cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. The taste follows the nose. The spice is present in the front and back along with plenty of pumpkin and cranberry. You would never guess this beer is 6% ABV. The body is medium to full with spritzy carbonation.

On tap @ Suttree's. Nice amber copper colored pour, nice white head, nice lacing - that is where all of the good ends though. Aroma is weak cranberry and squash, little of the promised spices. Taste is weak and not pleasant. Squash and pumpkin meet cranberries but not in a good way. very little spices again. Dry and not tasty. BIG disappointment. Didn't finish even 1/4 of my pint.

Light amber pour with a thin blanket of off-white foam. Mild pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg aroma. Taste is similar with just a touch of cranberry. Very enjoyable but I was hoping for more tartness from the cranberry and lemongrass. This will likely be a regular in my fridge for the next month or two.

I enjoyed this one. Lighter but flavorful and aromatic blend. Nose is mostly spices and lemongrass, cinnamon on the front. Odd combo but it begs for another whiff. Flavor the cranberry comes out as slightly sweet and tart, but the spices are still up front. Pumpkin is light. A welcome addition to the fall lineups.
