Different, I'll give it that. And tons better than NB's "Loft." Pours a honey color with a decent head that left no lace. Smells mostly of malt, but there's something else going on that doesn't make itself apparent until the beer is tasted. So, taste is, well, off. It's got a serious woodsy, moldy, spicy thing going on that I don't care for at all. Mouthfeel is quite full and creamy, but there's a bit of an aftertaste that really brings the drinkability down. I wouldn't refuse another of these but it's definately not on my shopping list.

I found this to be a fair session beer and a good brew to pour to introduce some friends to the Belgian Ale style (singel) on the cheap. First tried it a local beer fest and didn't love it, but bought a six pack to re-try in the fall and liked it more. Nice floral (almost perfumey) nose and american hoppiness. Has the definitive New Belgium juicy-fruit-flavor that I'm not in love with, but it is a refreshing beer.

Medium gold color, medium head. A full-bodied Belgian single ale, malty and hoppy. The malts are slightly sweet, while the hops are slightly spicy. Full complex flavors. Full bodied, yet light and refreshing. Question: Belgian estery yeast or some added cane sugars? Can’t tell, but it taste really nice. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth, Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

I had this on draught while visiting New Belgium's brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado. Appearance: This is a hazy golden colored brew with a fluffy white head. Aroma: There's a touch of alcohol and hoppiness in the aroma. Flavor. This is a thirst quenching session beer. It's easy drinking, but nothing spectacular.

crystal golden colour with good looking carbonation strings and a nice frothy pure white head. Aroma..well really I am dissapointed..there is none..some faint spiciness ..but this smells bland. Taste also is pretty nondescript,,there is a herbal bitterness in the middle but thats about it. Its actually a nice enough feeling beer on the palate..not too thin and it's smooth. I dunno I have to say for me this is not too drinkable.

More yellow in color than golden with a moderate head. Very pleasant fresh fruit aroma like a produce mart. Fairly sweet with apple and pear flavors and a pretty decent hop presence. Finished slightly bitter and the lacing held all the way down. Thoroughly enjoyable and it would be a great beer to have on hand while watching somebody else mow your lawn.

I was impressed with this beer. Most brewerys won't even bottle their Single Ale. New Belgium did, and we are the better for it.

Nice clean nose, Deep gold, nice full head and geneous lace. Start is malt, the middle moderate, the finish is crisp with a nice hop spicyness.
