Beers and front porch lounging with G. Love means peaches, hominy grits, molasses and lemon peel, all funked up with pale and biscuit malts in a saison for sipping. In three-part harmony enters a healthy dose of Brettanomyces to bring tropical, citrus flavors and bold, sweet nose. This foot-stomping beer pours a glowing orange under a fluffy, white head and grooves all the way to its dry finish. G. Love and New Belgium together, making sweet beer and music. Just the facts Ma'am... Birthdate - August, 2012 ABV - 9.4% Calories - 252 Hops - Goldings Malts - Pale, Biscuit OG - 18.85 TG - 1.79 Fruits/Spice - Peach, Molasses, Lemon Peel Body - Medium-High Aroma - When fresh PPL will have lots of those ‘saison’ aromas- spicy, herbal, fruity- not to mention the actual peaches. Once cellared the bretta will add that pineapple and funk. Mouthfeel - The feel of this beer starts big sweet and chewy, some nice boozy warmth, but we’ve dried the finish out to invite the next sip. After cellared the bretta will bring a complex texture to this lounger. Flavor - Pleasantly fruity and toffee sweet start and middle with a kick of warmth from all those sugars (molasses and malt!) Visual - Deep straw like color and a deeper haze.

Yeasty, malty aroma has a definite, if not overpowering, note of peach. Pours a lovely clear amber with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled cream head. Strongly yeasty flavor has subtle malty and peach notes with hints of citrus and - banana? Smooth, just slightly slimy texture has an OK amount of fizz. Sit back and enjoy a mouth full of the classic South!

Cloudy gold. Musty aroma of sour fruit and spice. Folks at the table expected something with this name to be light and refreshing, but it's not. Strong sour fruit flavor is raisin and yeast bread with just a hint of apricot, not very peachy. Heavy & alcoholic, earthy & grassy. Coats the tongue, chewy, very fine carbonation. Enjoyed but not expected.

Pour is hazy orange with a thin cap of white head. Aroma holds true to the name--plenty of peach, lemon, spicy yeast and a bit of funk. Zesty carbonated mouthfeel that couples well with the tart fruity, funky taste. Pleasant, easy drinking brett beer.

pours a nice slightly chill hazed golden orange with a finger of white head that fades to a small pool.Aromas of peaches, lemon zest, spicy yeast and a little bit of malt aromas. Flavors of peaches, slight spicy yeast character, barnyard funk, a bit of pale malt, some lemon zest. slightly biscuity at times. aftertaste is a bit more lemon peel and peach with some slight funk and a bit of sugary sweetness.Overall its not bad but not great, interesting flavors but I'm having a hard time wrapping my palate around all of them to decide if this beer works or not. It's has some nice flavors and some interesting qualities but it doesn't quite fit the style.

Sampled on 9/30/2102. This saison pours a light orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to emdium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, sweet and spicy, with peaches, honey and perhaps a touch of funk. Medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet, with peaches, honey and some tartness. The hops are earthy, herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. Interesting beer, with a nice mix of flavors. Kind of sweet, then it has the dry bretty finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

I liked this brew, though it didn't quite meet my expectations. The thickness, the molasses, and the abv were not necessary. I dug the Brett and the peach, but would have enjoyed a dry funky fruity 6% brew a bit more. The funk came across more musty and less bright than I'd hoped( if that makes sense).

Bomber. Bright shiny orange copper pour, fluffy white head, some lacing. FUNKY sour and fruity aroma, light on the peaches, Brett, yeasties, some sweetness, honeysuckle. Just tart enough flavor, not puckering, lightly sour and then peachy and fruity, some floral and honey flavors, then some sweets then some yeasts and Brett qualities, still a touch light on the Brett, but still very noticeable. Interesting, flavorful and peachy keen.

22 oz bottle. Pours yellow orange with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is peaches, musty yeast and brett.
The flavor is sweet citric peaches, champagne-like alcohol and some musty peppery brett. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with bubbly carbonation.
Overall, a very nice balance of peaches and brett. I like it.
