A lighter lager soured with raspberries. Pours a golden colour with a nice white head, light raspberry flavour against a malt background.Very refreshing on a hot day. Ideal for the non beer drinkers! Ideally served with salads, kebabs, salmon or spicy dishes. Awarded a Silver Medal in the 2011 U.S. Open in Atlanta, Georgia

The Beerbistro (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
May 11, 2012
The beer poured a hazy pale orangy-gold colour with a foamy white head and plenty of effervescence. The aroma was weak grass, sour apples, and some hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sour berries, tart apples, dry grain and some cider-like characteristics. A very interesting brew. -

Finally had a chance to post my crib notes on this US Open award winning brew – Taps a hazy gold color with a massive sticky cap that lasts the drink. Big aroma – fruity but sweet and acetic – like peach PEZ candy, hints of bready malts. Flavor follows aroma with the fruity tartness, buscuity malting and astringent hopping creating havoc on the palate, long wet tart finish where fruits and acetic tones dominate. Wow! What is this? Like nothing I’ve tasted. Needs its own style category.
