Pours a huge frothy off-white head and has a slightly hazy golden light amber appearance. Fairly excessive carbonation. Thick lacing. Aromas are yeasty and orangey with some nice subtle spiced notes. Flavours are fairly sour, some orangey notes, quite a lot of spice in the mix. Also has some yeast in the finish. Full bodied mouthfeel. Good bitterness, leaves a tingling and warm sensation on the palate. Doesn't seem like a summer type beer, feels kind of heavy. Maybe a late evening summer beer? :p Still pretty good though.

The beer pours a hazed golden red colour with a frothy light tan head and plenty of effervescence. The aroma is yeast, pepper, caramel, grass, and light fruits. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The pepper is very up front in the flavour followed by funky yeast and grassy notes and finishing with some bitter hoppiness. I liked it. -

Nice, a new series and starting with a style I like - a saison. Pours an amber colour with a golden hue. The head fizzes away quickly enough with a beige-yellow colour and does not leave much lacing. Very yeasty overall. Aromas of bready malts, peppery spices, with hints of bananas, caramel and grass. Got some light sourness from time to time. Fruity malt taste with some decent bitterness from the hops. Still, the hefe notes are there. Almost feels like an imperial Hefeweizen with more hops. So, not the saison I was hoping for, but still a good brew.
