Strong aroma is wheaty and yeasty with a firm undertone of sweet lemon. Yes, sweet lemon. It pours a hazy solar yellow with a rather average ivory head that does not stick around too long. Wheaty flavor has a good yeasty note and hints of lemon and orange. Firm-bodied texture has a decent amount of fizz. Though fair to middlin’, this is still a decent beer.

Surprise gift from brother-in-law Jimbo from Nashville. Hazy orange pour with a thin head and little lacing. Zesty citrus-lemon aroma with some banana and wheats. Earthy flavor, lemon with banana, zesty, refreshing, a tad thin but still nice. Thanks bro.

Nice cloudy yellow with a foamy yet thinnish white cap. Faintest traces of lace on the glass. This doesn't quite deliver on the banana flavor that I enjoy in hefes...but it has a good dash of clove and spice. I've had many better hefeweizens. The ideal flavors are all there; it's just very subdued. Rich mouthfeel and copious carbonation makes up for it though.

i don't know what award it's winning...county fair? this is an ok hefe. nothing at all wrong with it, especially for the price, but it's just above average at best. all the aspects you expect in a hefe, just lighter.

This a pretty drinkable hefe. Brewed by firestone so I got excited. This beer is sold at trader joes.
Smells of some clove and very little banana. Wheat, grass, lemon are there as well. Pours a hazy yellow with some good fizzy head. Thin watery body but works well with the flavor. Carbonation is there and the finish is smooth. Flavor is bright with clove and some banana. There is a fair amount of spice going on here. It is pretty acidic however. -

Sampled on 9/6/2010. This Hefeweizen pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with a hint of banana and clove. A medium to light bodied Hefeweizen. The malts are fruity and sweet, banana and clove. The hops are earthy. Nice carbonation. A little sweet at the finish. Nice beer, especially for the price. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
