Our award winning Hefeweizen is one of the breweries most popular selections. Unlike the lemon-laden wheat beers that flood market today, Mission Hefeweizen is a true example of a classic Bavarian Hefeweizen - exhibiting a wonderful bouquet of clove, banana, pear, among other aromas and flavors which make this beer a refreshing and full flavored brew. Make no mistake – there is no fruit in this beer. The complex and flavorful character of our Hefeweizen is achieved by the authentic Bavarian yeast strain employed in its production. 15 IBU

Pours out the most cloudy unfiltered gold color beer I've ever seen. The aroma is of wheat and malt. The mouth feel tart and fizze on the tounge. The taste of bitter wheat.

A cloudy yellow colored beer with a small two fingered frothy textured white head that disappears fairly quickly. There was no lacing. Muted grainy nose. Dominate spiciness in tasting with some banana and wheat-grain. The tasting is about the only positive thing about this effervescent beer

They seem to make an oddly high amount of german hefes in SoCal and this is one of em. All the usual suspects (banana, clove, bubble gum) in a yeasty refreshing package.

Decent hefe. Pours hazy, golden yellow as expected. Fluffy white head that lingers with nice lacing. Citrus, banana and clove fill the nostrils and translate to the pallette. A tad on the thin/light-bodied side IMO for a really good hefe.

Sampled on 7/10/2010. This German Hefeweizen pours a slightly hazy medium yellow gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. with decent lacing and nice retention. The aroma is citrusy (lemony) and grainy. A light to medium bodied Hefeweizen. The malts are grainy and cereal, with quite a bit of lemony tartness. Touch of banana and clove, some pear. The hops are floral and spicy. Lively carbonation. A nice summer beer, its light and refreshing with a slightly tart lemony finish. Nice beer for a warm summer night. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
