Bought at trader Joe's...$7.60 a 12 pack with tax, crv. Price is right? This is forgetit brau on a level I have not tasted in years. It is so bland and forgettable, other then the hangover, there is nothing to comment on. Bland flavor, hint of corn flakes (in a supposedly all malt brew) or is that stale bread? No mouthfeel or taste...but enough alcohol to hurts ya next day. BAD

Faint aromas of malts, a corn sweetness. Standard yellow body, thin white cap, occasional spots of lace. Mouthfeel and carbonation are normal. flavors of sweet malts and a touch of grass.

Pours a semi-clear, golden hay color with a white, medium sized head with average retention and spotty lacing. The aromas was sweet and fruity; tart apple and sugar, mostly with hints of grain and, buried deep, the faintest note of alcohol. The taste was a malt and sugar; subtle, faded green apple candy character with faint hints of grain and some hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and sticky with moderate carbonation.

I guess if you wanted to save a few dollars and go this route, you could. Aside from being really cheap, not Bud/Miller/Coors and an okay beer in a can you shouldn't expect too much from this beer. Corn would be the one item in both the aroma and flavor that was easy to pick-out. But there was also some wet grass that was there, which I would say could be hops...or maybe they used wet grass in the ingredient list. A touch of agave syrup/creamed corn on the palate, with just a bit of hop bite. Easy to drink for sure. -

if i were rating this on price alone, it would score higher. as it was, i was hoping for but not really expecting, an average beer. what i got was a step above a typical macro lager, but just a step. lots of corn sweetness, a touch of hops, slightly unpleasant carbonation...little else. no complexity. not better/worse ice cold or warming. just meh. a very tiny bit more interesting than the pils.

Yep, it's a pale lager. What makes this a bit different from most of the junk heap is the solid, full mouthfeel and the rich maltiness. Most importantly, it did not taste or smell like (creamed) corn. I have no idea where or how my friend found this; it appeared in my fridge, and after he left, I did enjoy it. I was definately impressed...a sixer of this would be a nice thing to have around as a go-to beer, price willing (I have no idea how much this costs).

Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head. Malty, firm and malty on the palate. Slightly grainy with notes of soft hops, lemon and corn. Taste is refreshing however, and i would enjoy this a bit more then the leinie's lager. this may be a pale lager. yes it is.
