Pressing 78 Porter is named for the entrepreneurial effort to record and press 78 RPM records in Grafton. The history of the Porter style was the English hotel employees beverage; a blend of the other beers at the hotel. In the same spirit, the Paramount Blues recordings are successful blending of cultures to create something significant for all time.

I had this beer at the Hotel Metro in Milwaukee. I thought this beer was very close to the old British porter style. I think this beer is a great offering from a local brewery and would have this again in a moment.

This beer poured a dark brown color with a weak head. It had very little aroma to it and a smoked malt/bacon flavor. Little hops and a dry finish. Resembled a smoked porter or rauchbier.

On draught at the grafton ale house: pours a dark dark brown colour with a reddish tint. light brown head. Semi dry, roasted malt character with coffe notes all the way through.
