Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)

The beer pours a slightly hazed golden-red colour with a creamy light tan coloured head that lasts. The aroma is tart cherries, yeast, grains, and light spicy notes. Mouthefeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is a bit too cherry cough syrup for me, with hints of grains. Not worth trying again. -

Part of their Summer Sampler 2014. Pours a rich amber colour with a warm cap, decent retention and some foamy lacing. Sweet nose from the cherries, but does not smell like the fruit. Lots of bread aromas and with time, dark fruits (plum, dates). This fruit does a nice job in the flavours to add the Belgian style to it. Lots of caramel across the board. The hops are mild in the finish, but a little more present than the cherries. A good brew, but more like dark fruits than cherries.

New beer, tried at the Ottawa brewpub. Pours a coppery amber appearance with barely any head, just a vey thin cap. Has light malty aromas as well as mild hops and light cherry hints. Hoppy citrus flavours at first but the cherry takes over almost immediately afterwards. Very fruity flavours all around. A little bit of a tarty mouthfeel, especially in the finish. Medium bodied. Good retention. Lively carbonation. Not too bad, just enough cherry flavour to appease the senses.
