tastes like different hops and yeast than the other "alive" brew I've had. Still lots of brett and funky goodness...meshes really well with the hops used in this one, but I miss the yeast. Nice frothy refreshing brew (especially at 8%) anyway.

Sampled on 6/18/2011. This wild ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Large sized white foamy head with good lacing and nice retention. The aroma is fruity, sweet, tart and slightly funky. A medium bodied wild ale. The malts are fruity, sweet and dry. The hops are herbal and earthy. Lively carbonation. Fruit, tart and ever so slightly funky. Nice sipping beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Orange to amber colour, moderate off-white head. Lovely aroma of American hops and brettanomyces / farmhouse. Nice flavour of fruity and resinous American hops, medium sweet with notes of caramelized orange marmalade, hints of brettanomyces in the background. Fairly bitter finish.

Lovely aroma, peach, hops, sweet/sour complexity going on, very effervecent, but not in a non-alcoholic fruit champagne way, and more in a aged cheap champagne way. Fruity, but subdued, fun I think might be a good word. Maybe some apple, some kind of aroma that resembles tanned leather (to quote mmmmmbeer) which I would think points to the yeasts and "wild" nature of the beer. The same way that Burgundy gets branded 'Barnyard' this beer could be branded 'field like'. Good. Not amazing. Not as sour as I was hoping for.

Pours out in a clear amber colour with a rich lively off-white head. Floral hops, orange-peels, yeast and cookies in the aroma. Medium-bodied with notes of brett, nectarines, grass, yeast, peaches and orange-peels. Bitter orangey finish.

Deep brown body with lots of red. A massive 3” cap was formed and reduced to a nipple, a constant stream of bubbles was flowing up from the bottom of the glass. Smells so good I just drooled. So much peach so much hops so much leather………..is this really a Belgian strong or is it an IIPA? Smells so good!!!!!! First sip was nothing but fuzzy peach candy turning into leather leaving behind massive bitterness. Apple perfume and oak all show up. Malts are thick and toasted but seem to get lost in the peachy bitterness. Awesome beer would gladly drink again if it wasn’t for the insane price tag.
