Lighly murky brown pour, huge head and carbonation, some lacing. Bourbon upfront, welcoming indeed, toffee and light vanilla, then... some slight funkiness, mostly Bourboned aroma though, requisite big ass Belgian yeasts hiding in there too. Taste is just like the nose: Bourbon forward, with a Quad in there somewhere, but I love Bourbon so this rocks.

Crazy expensive for a 12.7 oz bottle - 15.99. Bottle pour into a snifter is dark brown with loads of carbonation and a white head. The aroma is of canned dog food, a repulsive mess. The mouthfeel is thin and strongly carbonated. Tastes range from smoked meat to candy sugar, this really is a struggle to drink. I taste no 'bourbon barrel' qualities in this beer. It's pretty disappointing to have such an expensive bottle of beer that touts barrel aged qualities to be so subpar. I have another bottle...not really sure what to do with it.

Thick brown pour. Aroma dominated by bourbon. Sweet, with a hint of yeast. Pretty boozy, but oh so tasty. This must have spent a long time in barrels. Not as complex as the base beer, but pretty stinking good.
