Pours a hazy amber colour with a big creamy light-beige head, very long lasting creating some sticky full lacing. Aromas of grassy hops, herbal notes and with the IPA background of caramel malt and dark fruits. The mouthfeel is dry, then you wait, wait... and it gets a notch up from normal really dry IPAs. Like sucking on a green leaf. Pretty much hops taking control of the flavours. Worth trying once, but not something to go-to as some other DIPAs.

Strong, hoppy aroma has a firm overtone of sour citrus, equal parts Mandarin orange and grapefruit. It pours a clear, dark coppery brown with a thick, fluffy, copper-tan head that leaves some good lacing. Flavor is - HOLY GUACAMOLE, ATTACK OF THE HOPS! The bottle (and name) claim 1000 IBUs, and damn, I believe it. This is one fiercely hoppy and ferociously bitter beer. It's like drinking liquid hops with a side of grapefruit juice. This is definitely not for the faint of heart - or taste buds! Firm body has plenty of fizz, and finish is woody and very hop-bitter. Nevertheless, a whisper or two of fruity sweetness sneaks through. One fierce IPA that only the bravest should challenge.

Cloudy brown with a ruby red look, quarter inch creamy crown leaving behind tons of lacing. Sweet peachy aroma, something I'll call rotting apple, toffee, and the unmistakable aroma of warm milk. Massive bitterness in every sip with a big peach start. Earthy leather, mild wood, something that reminds me of smoked beef but not really. This a great beer, I can't stop drinking it. There is almost a peppery heat in the aftertaste. Flavour is full and thick but never in your face. Another great beer from Mikkeller that I'll probably never buy again due to price. Mark to me actually seems to high.

A novelty beer to be sure but still, it didn't taste bad. Way too expensive for the experience. Not the mouth gripping beer I thought 1000 IBUs would carry but still a good hoppy beer with enough malt to carry it.

Momma? Holy crap. This one is HUGE. Aroma is hoppy. Mouthfeel is hoppy. Flavor is hoppy, citrusy, and big. Excuse me now, while I go shave my tongue.

Bottle, at local beer tasting. Deep golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Very hoppy aroma and flavour, but feels not too extreme, untill the aftertaste sets in ... OMG!

I got this beer for free as a gift while visiting Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen, Denmark. I just got around to drinking it and I will say that I thought it was great - it wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting a very sticky beer with a sweet flavor; something akin to 120 minute IPA. Instead, I got something that was more traditional of a DIPA. It was hoppy and smelled of grapefruit, citrus, and pine. The beer was cloudy and with residual hop precipitated out in the beer. It was very nice - nothing like a Hopsickle or a 120. I would have this again!

A novelty beer... and yet tried twice. Both times the same, its everything in the most classic imperial IPA's, grapefruit, pine, hops, intense, bittering hops, etc. all good, all IPA, all intense. Very dark, good medium head retiontion. Definately taking it on their word that its a 1000 IBUS, as it is well balanced, doesnt seem any more bitter than your 70 IBU, but then again, its been shown that beyond 80 the human palate cant tell the difference anyways. Very strong grapefruit... glad someone made it, glad its good, but purely a novelty

Bottled@The Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBF tasting. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is bigtime zesty and fruity. Flavour is the same along with some nectar and grass. Doesn’t feel anywhere near 1000 IBU though. Mild notes of alcohol as it gets a bit warmer.

Daddy? What's that coming out of Kitty's ears? .. nice presentation, great foam, cool label .. . smell is of fresh pine, green, and sappy aspirin .. . decent malt showing to go with the bitterness.. . for so many ibu's, more balanced than you'd think .. . a nice experience but not again for the price.. . Why that's uh... raspberry jam!
