Pours a copper/orange, thick white head, strong hop aroma (floral and citrus), well balanced with nice hop finish. Hard to believe it is an imperial IPA because of the balanced taste. Smells and tastes like a good IPA--the extra alcohol content is well masked.

Poured a copper orange. I let this one age for 2 years. The 10% was well hidden in the fruity and hoppy flavors. Everything was well balanced. This turned out not to be as overpowering as I had feared.

Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of bubblegum, citrus fruits, pine, grassy hops, and a fair amount of diactyl. Taste of pine resin, some caramel, citrus fruits, a faint nuttiness, and a medium, bitter grapefruit finish.

Poured a nice amber with a foamy head. Aroma was grapefruits and piney. Flavor was much the same. CItrus and pine with some carmel malts. Soild beer.

Orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is malt and piney hops. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. Malts are caramel and sweet. Hops are piney. Lots of hop bitterness, but very big caramel malts shine through in this one. Nice balance. Lots of other stuff going on as well. Nice complex beer. Thanks to Dr Bill for sharing this one. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

I found Middle Ages 10th Aniversary Ale on tap at the Grey Lodge in Philly. It poured an amber/copper body with little head. The taste was quite good considering my dislike of IPAs. It had tones of sweet malts, a slightly citrusy flavor with the typically hoppy finish. Overall a solid IPA.
