Back Roads Vanilla Porter is the first beer released by Meyers Creek Brewing Company. This is one of our favourite recipes and it's perfect for sipping any time of the year. This beer contains hops grown by Pleasant Valley Hops in Prince Edward County. It’s made with Ontario barley malted here in the Quinte region at Barn Owl Malt. Back Roads is not filtered and it’s not pasteurized. Always keep it cold and drink it fresh. Where can I get some, you say? (Brewed at Forked River Brewing Company)

The beer pours a sold black colour with brown edges and a creamy tan coloured head that lasts a while. The aroma is roasted malt, vanilla, coffee, and milk chocolate. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, coffee, and soy sauce with sour malty notes in the back. This is awful!
